Fordham University's Camino, 2013

Walking the Camino de Santiago from Leon to Santiago

Ready!

Picture17Once again, Fordham is walking the Camino, the pilgrimage route through northwestern Spain to Santiago de Compostela. This year, fifteen students, a mixture of grads and undergrads, plus two professors, are walking from León to Santiago. We will meet in León late on May 22, spend a day there, and start walking on May 24. The goal is to arrive in Santiago on June 6. We met several times this semester to discuss readings, give presentations, or walk on Saturday mornings from Rose Hill to City Island, a pleasant 20 km walk along Pelham Parkway here in the Bronx and a great way to end the week.

Each member of the team will be our guide for a site or town along the way. The class presenters will be blogging from their sites as we go, so follow along.

Everyone is ready, set to begin, and looking forward to it.
